These limited-scale agreements are often between two individuals for small sums of marijuana and cash. In the world...

Hazy Forecast: GW Pharma Seeks FDA Approval, Complicates CBD Landscape

The closer cannabis gets to being recognized medicine, the cloudier its future seems to be.

GW Pharmaceuticals, an England-based biotech company, has spent nearly 20 years working to bring a botanical cannabis-based medication to market. Currently only synthetic tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), under the brand names Marinol and recently Syndros, has been...

Michigan’s Medical Cannabis Industry Could Go To The Highest Bidder

As the old adage goes, “it takes money to make money.” At least that is the way cannabis seems to be heading in Michigan, as they develop new medical cannabis regulations.

In September 2016, the Michigan Legislature passed House Bills 4209, 4827, and 4210. Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed these bills into law—creating a directive to form a regulatory framework for medical cannabis. The state is instructed through these bills to have the system...

Marijuana Education Initiative: Informing The Next Generation Of Cannabis Entrepreneurs

Marijuana Education Initiative: Informing The Next Generation Of Cannabis Entrepreneurs

Today’s youth are tomorrow’s cannabis industry professionals. But the educational system throughout the United States is sending students mixed messages when it comes to legalized cannabis. These signals range from “it’s okay” to “it’s medicine” to “it’s an addictive drug.”
